Reflection
Through the practice of poverty, Marists choose to rely on
God alone rather then their own resources. (Constitutions
112) By vowing poverty Marists put their trust in a Father
who knows their every need. They choose to be poor to follow
in the footsteps of Jesus. Like the first believers, they
bring what they have to their brothers and sisters, and hold
everything in common with them. (Constitutions 106). Whatever
our state in life let us put our trust 'In God Alone'.
Call to mind aspects of your life that contribute to harmony and discord within your own heart and in relationship with others.
Remember now those people and concerns that are dear to you and entrust them to God.
