Charism
'Statement'
Marists believe that the spirit they share:
humility, self-denial, intimate union with God and ardent
love of neighbour in the spirit of Mary, can provide an answer
to the problems of today and can be a great contribution to
our world.
What
makes a Marist is not what one does, but how one does it.
Aided
by prayer and the example and the spirit of Mary, Marists
strive to become in their Founder's words, ever more effective
"instruments of divine mercy".
(Rule
of Life of the Marist Fathers)
