Prayer

O God,

you sent your Holy Spirit to hover over the abyss of our broken world.
Help us to be open to the grace of your coming
that you may create us anew.
Banish the darkness of our lack of faith in your wisdom.
Set us on the firm ground of a generous and wholehearted response
to your call so that we can support the Church
as living witnesses to the gospel of peace and unity.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
